Day 4: My parents

The real question is, which ones? I've collected a variety of mothers and fathers over my high school career. I think I have fewer dads, so we'll start there.

Dad #1: My real dad. The cool dude who I got half my genetic material from, including such cool things as a weird sense of humor and a love of chocolate. He's a computer programmer and one of the most genuinely caring people I know.

Dad #2: Derek Sorenson. I'm not really sure when this happened. Maybe... OH! It was sophomore year when we were all crazy kids and Ashley made a family tree thing and Derek was somehow me and Shelby's dad. Yeah. I love this kid, and I miss him and his dancing awesomeness.

Dad #3: Brandon Nelson. I think he's married to one of my moms, I don't remember who. He's probably one of the funniest people I know. Everyone needs a dad who can tell them that their shoes are fantastic :)

Mom #1: My mommy. She's wonderful. During high school, she brought me lunch. all. the. time. It was fantastic. Even now, she calls me at least once a week just to check up and see if I need anything. So much love for my mom.

Mom #2: Danie Herbert. My British mum! I'm not really sure how she became my mother either. But I love her, and I'm excited for her to come to BYU next year :D

Mom #3: Kyrie Greathouse. Love love love. Spending time with my mom is so much fun! She started at BYU this semester, and I'm still a bit miffed that I haven't seen her around campus. We were UTA roomies, and bonded through musical theatre as well.

Mom #4: Caden Collier. He's technically my dead mom. And yes, he's a guy. Don't ask. He plays trombone like a boss and likes hymn #37.

Mom #5: Jette Jones. I had the privilege of being in Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie with this talented, beautiful woman. She's fantastic. I love hanging out with her, even though that happens far too infrequently.

Mom #6: Momma Stice. I feel like I really belong in her lovely home. She's taught me how to cook several delicious things and how to take life one step at a time. I have so much respect for her and all she does.

I just absolutely love and look up to these people. In all reality, though, I'm so grateful to have such supportive, caring parents. Even though their überconservativism drives me up the wall sometimes, they've given me a great childhood and the promise of a good future.
