Yup. I'm going to pretend that it's still Sunday night, and thus commence this lovely blogging challenge thing. So hi, I'm Miranda. This is what I look like after no sleep and two hours of karate:
![]() |
1. I drink an inordinate amount of tea.
2. I use the Oxford comma.
3. People think I'm more intelligent than I actually am.
4. I'm 18 years old, but feel like a superannuated woman. All I need is a cat. Or two. Or maybe three.
5. I don't talk in a social environment until I feel comfortable. I do, however, listen.
6. When it comes to boys/men I like, I will be completely up front about how I feel. I don't play games, and I don't lie.
7. I have an absurd, insatiable fascination with hipsters. I love them, but they make it so easy to make fun of them. If you want to be my friend, tell me a clever joke about hipsters.
8. Did I mention I like cats?
9. I like Asia. A lot. I speak Chinese, which was basically my gateway drug into everything else, like my kdrama obsession.
10. Oh right, facts... I'm a huge nerd. I'm really into Harry Potter.
11. I debated in high school, which means I love to play devil's advocate sometimes and argue about inconsequential things just for the sake of argument.
12. I basically believe in letting people live their lives however they want to, as long as it doesn't infringe upon my liberties. I don't think that government should legislate morality.
13. My family and friends mean the world to me.
14. I cry a lot. I cry when I'm sad, when my friends are sad, when I hear about sad things that happen to other people, when I see beautiful pieces of theatre or any other kind of art, etc. But I don't cry in public. If you've seen me cry, count yourself lucky.
15. I like to think I'm an open book when it comes to most matters, but I have a core composed of secrets, some of which I will never tell a soul on this green earth.
And that's it for tonight, folks. I'll try to plow through some more Goethe now (yay Humanities!).

35, not as smart my rear end
ReplyDeleteYay! I love that you're doing this. It'll give me some quality reading for the next 30 days plus it will make me feel like I know a little more about what's happening in your exciting life. P.S. #7 = <3 :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have you know I just spent 5 minutes of my life looking up what in the crap "Oxford comma" means... Yeah.
ReplyDeleteI should definitely be studying for my exam tomorrow morning, but of course I'm reading your blog instead..
